220V LED Tube Light for Home

Just working on Energy Efficient products that will replace conventional Tubelights and Energy savers, so this is another experiment, I have used 150 LEDs to make a LED based tubelight.

This experiment works and Iam able to operate 150 LEDs on 220V without any power transformer. Circuit is very simple I have used a Capacitor , diodes , resistors and LEDs.

All LEDs are mini Crystal Bright LEDs, When I test this circuit it takes 1.1 Ampares on a mini car inverter connected with 140A battery.

I have used a veru board and cut it into 4 pieces, LEDs are connected in line of 50 LEDs per channel and there are total 3 Channels.

This LED Tube Light is very efficient and uses very low energy and can run for several hours standalone.

It would be better if a MOV (parallel to AC input) and a capacitor (parallel to DC output) was used.

    Hi Kaushik Mondal.

Yes move is great if used but due to make everything very cost effective I haven’t use MOV.

Can i use 100 LEDs instead of 150 LEDs,I mean 50 LEDs per channel and there are total 2 Channels.
