I was running LiteSpeed web server since long time without any issues but since past few days On a web server running with LiteSpeed I was receiving large (even in thousands) amount of emails with following text:
At [09/Jul/2012:01:50:47 +0800], web server with pid=23331 received unexpected signal=7, a core file is created. A new instance of web server will be started automatically!
Please forward the following debug information to bug@litespeedtech.com.
Environment:Server: LiteSpeed/4.1.10 Enterprise
OS: Linux
Release: 2.6.32-220.4.1.el6.x86_64
Version: #1 SMP Tue Jan 24 02:13:44 GMT 2012
Machine: x86_64If the call stack information does not show up here, please compress and forward the core file located in /tmp/lshttpd/.
I logged in into LiteSpeed control panel and found a new version is available, I have updated Litespeed but still having same error. I thought it was a bug as the emails I were receiving having guidelines to email information at bug@litespeedtech.com so before sending them email I have check server for errors.
I check the disk space usage.
/dev/sda7 1008M 998M 10M 98% /tmp
I just clean /tmp partition and restart LiteSpeed server, everything came back to normal.
